About the Artist

Well what can you say about Dan
and his work other than that he
is most alive when working on a
canvas or out drawing …he can
often be seen working painting
and drawing along the river and
quayside in Exeter …

Dan has lived and worked in Devon
for over 20 years.
His inspiration comes from
travel and his local environment,
he works within the great British landscape
tradition.

With work in permanent collections at HM Tower of London and Rank Xerox UK. He paints his emotional responses to physical situations of all kinds.

Dan's background education includes,East Ham and Hornsey Art School, followed by a short stint at Central school of Art, etching with Norman Ackroyd. He graduated with BA Hons in Fine Art and worked as a visiting lecturer at Bridgewater College of Further Education, also at the Brewhouse Theatre Taunton leading workshops and at various schools in the South West. He has also been visiting lecturer in printmaking at the Universities of Plymouth and Exeter(School of Education).

At present Dan has a number of paintings on display in Exeter’s Michelin recommended restaurant @Angela’s.
